The Architecture of the resort
The concept of Pilot Beach Resort is as distinctive as Crete. Designed by award-winning architects, the resort captures the atmosphere of a small, Cretan village in a state-of-the-art, luxury resort.
Low-level buildings intermingling harmoniously with nature and the providential environment. Eco-friendly materials, including marble, wood and stone, typical of traditional Cretan architecture, create a feeling of well being.
The influence and traditions of the locale, as well as the island’s tapestry of architectural styles shaped by the many cultures that have influenced Crete throughout its history, inspired the design scheme. The bell tower and buildings, painted in a palette of pastels, the sunlit olive groves and bright flower gardens, as well as the winding, stone-paved paths are a tribute to the Cretan legacy.
